A Land Anew

the rivers turned to streams
But here in this abandoned land
are the seeds of a thousand dreams.

The cold has turned to swelter me
in harsh, unbidden heat
But in this land of sand and stone,
the temp'rature is sweet.

The trees have turned to cacti
the mice have turned to shrews,
But change in both these common things
has let me start anew.

The world around has changed too fast--
We drank this planet dry.
The desert now stretches to meet
the distant Northern Light.

Hate and Love Somewhere in the back of this screwy, fucked-up mind,
I'm torn between two sides of what is deep inside.

I hate everyone, everything.
From the teachers who pry,
to the littlest birds, ants and bees that fly.
I hate living, hate surviving,
I know that I'm smiling, but truly I'm dying.
I hate being on this planet without a fucking choice
Yet still I am stuck here, so the morons rejoice.
My anger guides me through the day,
Keeps me alive, then it takes that away.

I love everyone, everything.
The sky, sun, flowers and bugs,
The scent of vanilla and the feeling of hugs.
I love friends and the warmth that they bring to my life,

Bullying rant Today I was told by my gym teacher that I had no reason to run crying from gym and thinking of suicide because, obviously the bullying I endure is all my fault because I choose to dress with armwarmers to hide my scars, necklaces related to my religion of Paganism, and I choose to dye my hair red with blue bangs.

Today I was told that if I hadn't made the choice to express myself in such a way despite the uniform policy of khakis and black polo shirts, I would not have heard the girl in my class complaining about what a bitch I am because I wouldn't lend her a pencil when she rudely asked for one months ago.

No, I am not a bitch.

The Mentor's Observation Will my pupil never learn how to pick his fights?
He wars and rages on despite the war-torn nights.
The dragon's simple arrogance devastates the need
to think the way he should have; he destroyed our creed.
The rabbit is alone without the sense to lead him forth
When I provide him guidance, my hand does he ignore.
I just want him to live; at this rate he will die
No matter how I teach him, he thinks that I would lie.
He curses up a storm when I offer honest help.
He stumbles through the world, a lost and lonely welp.

Right! I'm Snow, I'm a sixteen year old poet, roleplayer, artist, gamer and fantasy writer. I LOVE Vampyrs, but the first Cullen to come near me is getting staked by my good friend Buffy. My first story was written when I was eleven and was horrible, but sparked me into roleplaying online. That got me back into writing more stories about my characters, and eventually about other things. I write more poetry than stories, but I like my stories better.

Most of my poetry is emo crap, just warning :P

Due to the way my life has been, I am best at expressing and expanding upon the darker emotions of life. It's my best talent in poetry, and you can see that from the emo garbage poetry I write.

I WELCOME constructive criticism on my works :D I love improving upon myself, so check what is in my folder labeled "CRITIQUE ME" for what I'm open to crit on :3

I am going to go back to some of my old series [and post the six chapters of The Thief that I have, lol] and edit them since it's been almost a year, then put them up here. These old ones are Aftermath [zombeh!], Bloodlines [the biography of my main RP character] and Wraith [which was just strange the first two chapters and then I forgot it after the third.]

These three could REALLY use critique when I get them posted, and so could The Thief, now that I think about it.
Warning: the character of Sira nightfyre in Bloodlines is a strange and eccentric child for like the first twenty-something chapters. then I have a time skin between ages five and twelve, when she's reaching higher points in her training and she gets caught in her first war [the Three Day War].
Even I cringe at some of the canonical things Sira says/does.
